In 2020, we have been through the influence of COVID-19, but this did not stop us from our work. There were 4486 films from 135 regions have registered. At first, let us express our sincere thanks to films’ directors and producers and those who have also lend hands during the process of filmmaking. Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival is the festival of directors

We are pleased to announce that the final jury of the 5th GTIDFF will be held in Paris, France, from November 4 to 5, 2021. At that time, there will be 11 awards to be decided by 7 judges, including: Golden Tree award, best Long Documentary Award, best Medium Documentary award, best Short Documentary award, best Director award, best Camera award, best Editing award, best Music Sound Effect award, Best New Artist Award, best Youth Award and special award of the organizing committee. The award ceremony will be held on November 6, 2021, in Club de l 'Etoile cinéma, which locates in central Paris. Before the award ceremony, there will be a documentary special forum. The forum will be led by professors from Sorbonne University of France and Beijing Normal University of China to discuss the "social function and aesthetic value of ecological documentary".
GTIDFF focuses on cross-culture and cooperation, which has been held 6 times, there is a sustained growth on the number of documentary films registered, there are more and more qualified films shared to the world and known by fans all around the world.
COVID-19 taught us to be patient, to endure. After all this, let us meet in Paris to celebrate our festival in November.
