Introduction of Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival
The Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival takes place every fall in Frankfurt, Germany.
The Festival´s aim is to bring together the world's attention on documentaries and spread quality films worldwide, explore the source of culture of different civilizations and countries all over the world using camera lenses and promote mutual exchanges and learning.
Nearly 100 top experts and scholars from all over the world have given their full support, and tens of thousands of professionals from over 100 countries have taken part in the festival. There are screenings, awards, forums, investment, trade exchange and other activities. The festival has become an important bridge and platform, linking eastern and western documentaries.
“Countries have borders, but culture knows no limits.” Documentary films serve as an important medium for cultural exchange between different nations. The Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival invites all young filmmakers of the documentary film industry to participate – there are no borders. The Golden Tree espouses the view that documentary film directors and producers utilize their own perspectives in making the projects. Individual creativity should be paramount. The festival aims at providing artists from around the world with a platform for equal exchange as well as mutual profit and development.
The Third Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival will be held from September 19th to 22nd, 2018, in Frankfurt am Main on the theme of “Roots and Future of Culture”. There are Opening Ceremony, Film Screening, Forum, Joint Meeting Hall, Awarding& Closing Ceremony on site.

Registration Status：A total of 4034 films from 125 nations and regions have been registered for Golden Tree 2018. The top 10 countries are the United States of America, India, the United Kingdom, Italy, China, Iran, Spain, Germany, Canada and Brazil.
The jury is composed of well-known professionals in the global documentary industry. Through the four stages of preliminary assessment, initial evaluation, pre-selection, and final evaluation, the final jury eventually selects 9 award winners.

Joint Meeting Hall
Through three different theme days, including Pitching Day, Joint Production Day, Exchange and Trade Day, the "Joint Meeting Hall" aims at providing documentary filmmakers with substantial cooperation opportunities to achieve a variety of goals, such as co-production, investment and financing as well as proxy agent distribution.
The organizing committee of the Golden Tree International Documentary Festival will set up a platform for submitting and registering projects, while the participants will report the specific needs of their projects to the organizing committee of the Golden Tree Festival. Based on the submitted requirements and intents of the participants, the organizing committee will invite business partners, documentary film investors, TV stations, agents, film associations as well as filmmakers and producers to attend the festival.
