From September 15th to December 31th，2017.1670 documentaries from 105 countries have already been registered for the 3rd Golden Tree International Documentary Festival.
Region Distribution of Registered Documentaries around the World
Asia accounts for the largest percentage among these continents. India makes up the major proportion with 153 registered documentaries in total, then comes the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Oceania. On top of that, among the 65 countries participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative, 45 countries of them have participated in the 3rd Golden Tree International Documentary Festival, such as Iraq, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, the Philippines, India, Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Czech, Hungary, Romania and so forth.
The Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival takes place every fall in Frankfurt, Germany. It is aimed at bringing together the world's attention and spreading films of a certain history and culture from one continent to another, exploring the source of culture of different civilizations and countries in the world using camera lenses, to promote mutual exchanges and learning between East and West.
The 3rd Golden Tree International Documentary Festival sets up 10 awards including 2018 “Golden Tree” Award, Best Documentary Long Award, Best Documentary Medium-Length Award, Best Documentary Short Award, Best Documentary Mini Award, Award for Best Director, Award for Best College Director, Award for Best Camera Work, Award for Best Editing and Special Award of the Organizing Committee. The judges panel consists of international high-level experts in documentary industry, concluding the final awards by going through preliminary assessment, initial evaluation, pre-selection, and final evaluation.
