From September 15th to December 7th, 1314 documentaries from 96 countries have already been registered for the 3rd Golden Tree International Documentary Festival.

Asia accounts for the largest percentage among these continents. India make up the major proportion with 130 registered documentaries in total, then comes the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Oceania. On top of that, among the 65 countries participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative, 45 countries of which has participated the event. Such as Iraq, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, the Philippines, India, Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Czech, Hungary, Romania and so forth.

The 3rd Golden Tree International Documentary Festival sets up 10 awards including 2018 “Golden Tree” Award, Best Documentary Long Award, Best Documentary Medium-Length Award, Best Documentary Short Award, Best Documentary Mini Award, Award for Best Director, Award for Best College Director, Award for Best Camera Work, Award for Best Editing and Special Award of the Organizing Committee. The judges panel consists of international high-level experts in documentary industry, concluding the final awards by going through preliminary assessment, initial evaluation, pre-selection, and final evaluation.
