This year’s Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival has attracted numerous documentaries from different countries all over the world, including 322 long documentaries, 257 medium-length documentaries, 282 short documentaries and 156 mini documentaries.
Now that the registration is over, the pre-selection committee of the Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival began their selection work, selecting a total of 48 films that would enter into the final round of the Golden Tree award competition.
The shortlisted films will compete with each other on the 2nd Golden Tree International Film Festival ,which is held in CineStar Metropolis Cinema in Frankfurt am Main, Germany from September 6th to September 9th, 2017.Our final jury, which consists of professionals from the documentary film industry, will select winners from 6 categories, including “Best Long Documentary”, “Best Medium-Length Documentary”, “Best Short Documentary”, “Best Mini Documentary”, “Best Director” and “Special Jury Mention Award”.
“Man and Nature” is the theme of the 2nd Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival. The event set up six different areas, including exhibitions, broadcasting right trade, an award show, dialogue forums, films screening as well as an investment fund.
In our forums the topics about educationalization and the future of the documentary film industry,the development of cooperation between internet and TV platforms will be discussed . Our forums aim to excavate the intrinsic potential of the documentary film industry, and to encourage and promote the healthy and prosperous development of the documentary film industry.
Compared with last year’s event, the 2nd Golden Tree International Film Festival has achieved massive breakthroughs in many different areas, such as the scope and amount of films, media companies and partners. The Golden Tree has always been dedicated to the promotion of excellent documentary films by introducing them on a global stage.
